{"id":11614,"date":"2025-11-28T08:06:34","date_gmt":"2025-11-28T08:06:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sbceurasia.com\/en\/?p=11614"},"modified":"2025-11-28T08:06:39","modified_gmt":"2025-11-28T08:06:39","slug":"allwyn-reports-q3-growth","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sbceurasia.com\/en\/2025\/11\/28\/allwyn-reports-q3-growth\/","title":{"rendered":"Allwyn Reports Q3 Growth"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Allwyn<\/strong>\u2019s Q3 preliminary results have showcased strong fiscal tailwinds, returning top-line growth and consolidated global revenue margins.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For the three months ending 30 September, the Swiss conglomerate saw <strong>group revenue climb 4% YoY for a total of \u20ac2.2bn (Q3\u2019 24: \u20ac2.1bn)<\/strong>, with <strong>GGR<\/strong> making up <strong>\u20ac2.1bn<\/strong> of that. <strong>Net revenue<\/strong> was at<strong> \u20ac1bn<\/strong>,<strong> up 5%<\/strong> from the previous year at <strong>\u20ac971m<\/strong>. <strong>Operating EBITDA<\/strong> amounted to \u20ac301m, down 16% YoY (Q3\u2019 24: \u20ac359m), with <strong>Adjusted EBITDA <\/strong>coming in at<strong> \u20ac374m (\u20ac406m).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 8% decrease in Adjusted EBITDA was driven by lower contributions from equity method investees primarily due to customer-friendly sports results affecting the performance of Betano, owned by Kaizen Gaming of which Allwyn is a significant strategic investor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The re-domiciliation of <strong>Allwyn International <\/strong>to Switzerland in October 2024 led to group corporate costs increasing by <strong>\u20ac14m YoY,<\/strong> resulting in a corporate costs restructuring where <strong>Allwyn International<\/strong> now directly bears costs previously incurred by <strong>Allwyn AG<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Total <strong>net gaming revenue (NGR)<\/strong> for the quarter came in at<strong> \u20ac939m, up 6% YoY from the \u20ac887m<\/strong> in the previous corresponding period. Of that, online NGR continued to perform strongly <strong>growing 8% YoY to \u20ac343m (Q3 2024: \u20ac319m)<\/strong>, making up 37% of the total NGR. Product NGR across all segments continued to outperform last year\u2019s results.<strong> VLTs and Casinos NGR<\/strong> went <strong>up 6% to \u20ac139m<\/strong>, <strong>sports betting increased by 3% to \u20ac129m<\/strong>, <strong>iGaming <\/strong>came in at<strong> \u20ac120m (up 2% YoY)<\/strong>, whilst<strong> lottery NGR <\/strong>reached <strong>\u20ac551m \u2013 up 7% from the \u20ac513m in Q3 2024<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lottery NGR in particular was positively impacted by Allwyn\u2019s tenure as the <strong>National Lottery<\/strong> operator in the UK, with the firm\u2019s investments to revitalise the lottery continuing to return dividends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The digital proposition within that segment continues to show strong performance, with net revenue from digital channels going up <strong>16% YoY<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These metrics were somewhat backed by the <strong>UK Gambling Commission<\/strong>\u2019s (UKGC) <strong>April 2024-March 2025 industry statistics<\/strong>, which highlighted that total National Lottery ticket sales are gradually increasing, meanwhile remote sales for that period came in at<strong> \u20ac3.8bn compared to the \u20ac3.6bn<\/strong> for the year prior.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Management maintains confidence in the group\u2019s continuous growth, backed by a recent agreement to <strong>acquire a majority stake<\/strong> in US fantasy sports platform <strong>PrizePicks<\/strong>, expected to close in the first quarter of 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>PrizePicks generated Adjusted EBITDA of $339m for the year ending June 2025, coupled with a revenue growth of more than 60% YoY.
