{"id":11884,"date":"2025-12-24T11:50:27","date_gmt":"2025-12-24T11:50:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sbceurasia.com\/en\/?p=11884"},"modified":"2025-12-24T11:50:31","modified_gmt":"2025-12-24T11:50:31","slug":"new-horse-racing-provider-drives-growth-of-local-market-in-the-uae","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sbceurasia.com\/en\/2025\/12\/24\/new-horse-racing-provider-drives-growth-of-local-market-in-the-uae\/","title":{"rendered":"New Horse Racing Provider Drives Growth of Local Market in the UAE"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>London-based <strong>Arena Racing Company (ARC)<\/strong> has been awarded a gaming-related vendor licence in the UAE.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Granted by the Gulf country\u2019s <strong>General Commercial Gaming Authority (GCGRA<\/strong>), the licence gives ARC the ability to expand its offering into the Middle East.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ARC\u2019s products and services include the <strong>Racing1 Markets platform<\/strong> \u2013 a specialised horse and greyhound racing solution that uses technology from <strong>Pythia Sports<\/strong> and leverages premier partnership deals with <strong>1\/ST CONTENT, Racecourse Media Group (RMG), <\/strong>and<strong> Australia\u2019s Tabcorp.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Jack Whitaker,<\/strong> Commercial Manager at ARC, said: \u201cObtaining this license is a great achievement for ARC and its Racing1 partners. The emerging regulated UAE market is incredibly exciting, and we look forward to showcasing our innovative products and services in the region.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>UAE testing the ground<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gambling has historically been prohibited in the UAE, and in large continues to be so, but the idea of establishing a potential market to supplement the country\u2019s already major tourism sector has slowly crept into official discussions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These talks gave birth to the GCGRA, which was founded back in 2023. The country currently does operate a lottery, but it is organised and conducted by the state itself.
