{"id":11899,"date":"2025-12-26T10:50:57","date_gmt":"2025-12-26T10:50:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sbceurasia.com\/en\/?p=11899"},"modified":"2025-12-26T10:51:00","modified_gmt":"2025-12-26T10:51:00","slug":"vbet-prepares-corrective-action-plan-following-investigation-by-dutch-regulator","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sbceurasia.com\/en\/2025\/12\/26\/vbet-prepares-corrective-action-plan-following-investigation-by-dutch-regulator\/","title":{"rendered":"VBET Prepares Corrective Action Plan Following Investigation by Dutch Regulator"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>SCGO Limited<\/strong> stated that it is committed to ensuring the \u201csafest possible operating environment\u201d following a review conducted by the Dutch gambling regulator into <strong>VBET\u2019s<\/strong> operations in the Netherlands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Following an investigation in April 2025, the <strong>Dutch Gambling Authority (Kansspelautoriteit, KSA) <\/strong>issued a warning to VBET, highlighting breaches of the <strong>Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing (Prevention) Act (Wwft).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the regulator\u2019s findings, the company did not adequately implement a company-wide risk assessment, lacked sufficient clarity regarding the key risks identified by VBET, and did not maintain proper version control of the relevant documentation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a result, financial supervisory authorities were unable to determine how the identified risks had been assessed, the effectiveness of the control measures in place, and whether these risks remained current.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Additionally, KSA highlighted the need to improve AML measures, including strengthening monitoring of player transactions, aligning internal policies and procedures with regulatory requirements, and properly documenting client risk profiles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the same time, the regulator noted VBET\u2019s constructive engagement: the company proactively prepared a corrective action plan and confirmed its commitment to following all issued recommendations.
