The deal will see Kambi deliver its full turnkey solution to the firm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>SuomiVeto was set up just last year, during the deliberations around the <strong>Finnish Gambling Act<\/strong> \u2013 which was ultimately approved by parliament in December and received presidential approval last month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Finland is expected to become a lucrative market. The regulated market under the <strong>Veikkaus Oy <\/strong>peaked at \u20ac1.8bn ($1.96bn) in 2017 according to <strong>H2Gambling Capital<\/strong> before falling off, with many customers moving offshore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The market will open up next year with private licences issued for sports betting, online casino and online bingo. Uncertainties remain around areas like player protection and marketing, but stakeholders like SuomiVeto are nonetheless excited at the prospects.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Melvin Bostelaar<\/strong>, co-founder of SuomiVeto, said: \u201cWhen selecting a partner, we wanted to work with a true market leader \u2014 and that\u2019s exactly what we have with Kambi.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cTheir technology, expertise and operational excellence were instrumental to BetCity\u2019s rapid growth, and we believe the same formula will set SuomiVeto up for success.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOur ambition is to become one of Finland\u2019s leading sportsbooks, and with Kambi\u2019s Turnkey Sportsbook solution and our bold marketing strategy, we are confident we can achieve that from day one.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Kambi gets stuck in<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is the first partnership Kambi has signed which specifically targets Finland\u2019s betting market, set togo live in July 2027. Companies can begin applying for B2C licences from March 2026, while B2B licences will be issued around one year into the market\u2019s launch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The launch of Finland\u2019s multi-licence market looks to be as much of an opportunity for B2B firms like Kambi as it is for B2C bookmakers like SuomiVeto.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For Kambi, the new market means potential new clients or the expansion of existing partnerships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kambi already has an established presence in Finland as a partner of <strong>Paf<\/strong>, the state-backed operator for the autonomous region of the Aland Islands. The deal was renewed in November 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>PAF, like other operators, is also eyeing up chances for growth post-2027, such as penning a sponsorship deal with one of Finland\u2019s most popular sportsmen, <strong>F1<\/strong> driver <strong>Kimi R\u00e4ikk\u00f6nen.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In SuomiVeto\u2018s case, the company\u2019s management team are looking to leverage their prior experience of market launches, having taken BetCity live in the Netherlands back in 2021.
