It gives operators a way to test this demand within familiar risk and compliance frameworks, while also opening the door to audiences that do not necessarily begin with traditional sportsbook behaviour.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Prediction markets represent a vertical that has exploded in popularity over the last few years, with the biggest wave taking over the US thanks to <strong>Kalshi<\/strong> and <strong>Polymarket<\/strong> \u2013 the two biggest platforms in the space.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Not a traditional sports betting offer, players wager against each other to try and determine the outcome of an event, from global elections to what move a mascot will perform during an NFL game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>US trading volume was pushing the $50bn (\u00a338bn) mark in 2025, up from only $300m the year prior. The lucrative commercial opportunity has prompted several big names in the gambling sector to branch out into prediction markets, most notably Flutter Entertainment\u2019s FanDuel Predicts and DraftKings\u2019 own offer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>SOFTSWISS is not the first B2B firm to enter the space. Just last week, Malta-based sportsbook solutions supplier BETBY announced its own expansion into predictions, showing that despite the sector\u2019s controversy, it is courting extensive commercial interest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Olga Resiga<\/strong>, Chief Business Development Officer at SOFTSWISS, added: \u201cWe are seeing a growing player segment. Prediction markets are not just an extension of sportsbooks \u2013 they introduce entirely new audiences who have never engaged with traditional betting products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe motivation is different: users are driven by their understanding of global events rather than fandom. Combined with the continuous flow of news and public narratives, this creates a more persistent engagement layer.
