Last week, Ukraine\u2019s gambling regulator PlayCity <\/strong>revoked the license of the online casino Cosmolot LLC (\u201cSpacesiks\u201d)<\/strong>, according to<\/a> the Ministry of Digital Transformation.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The reason for the decision was that, during an inspection, the regulator identified violations of financial settlement rules: the company used P2P payments and allowed account top-ups from third-party bank cards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to revoking the license, PlayCity fined Cosmolot UAH 8.6 million ($215,000) for using P2P payments and UAH 4.3 million ($107,500) for accepting funds from third-party bank cards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The action adds to a recent series of enforcement steps by PlayCity, which has increased scrutiny of licensed operators. Spaceiks was the first gambling company to receive an operating licence under Ukraine\u2019s 2020 Gambling Act.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, on April 24, the Kyiv District Administrative Court <\/strong>granted<\/a> Spacesiks\u2019 request for interim relief, suspending the regulator\u2019s decision to revoke its license.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The court concluded that there had been significant procedural violations during the company\u2019s unscheduled inspection. As a result, until the dispute is finally resolved on the merits, Cosmolot\u2019s license to conduct online gambling remains valid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In an official statement, the company emphasized that in January 2026, it successfully passed all state inspections and received a new five-year license. The regulator confirmed the transparency of the company\u2019s ownership structure, the complete absence of ties to Russia, its financial stability, and compliance with tax requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, a scheduled inspection completed two weeks ago found no violations in financial settlements or any other legal grounds for fines or license revocation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
