{"id":13024,"date":"2026-05-21T09:30:44","date_gmt":"2026-05-21T08:30:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sbceurasia.com\/en\/?p=13024"},"modified":"2026-05-21T09:30:46","modified_gmt":"2026-05-21T08:30:46","slug":"betway-names-guti-new-ambassador-as-part-of-football-strategy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sbceurasia.com\/en\/2026\/05\/21\/betway-names-guti-new-ambassador-as-part-of-football-strategy\/","title":{"rendered":"Betway Names Guti New Ambassador as Part of Football Strategy\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Super Group<\/strong>-owned <strong>Betway<\/strong> has signed former <strong>Real Madrid<\/strong> star <strong>Guti<\/strong> as a new brand ambassador for its Spanish market operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The partnership adds to Betway\u2019s growing roster of football ambassadors as operators continue investing heavily in player-led marketing ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup cycle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It follows <strong>Stake\u2019s<\/strong> swoop for Belgian icon <strong>Eden Hazard <\/strong>and <strong>GR8_Tech\u2019s<\/strong> partnership with the rumoured-to-be-incoming Real Madrid manager <strong>Jos\u00e9 Mourinho<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Guti, real name <strong>Jos\u00e9 Mar\u00eda Guti\u00e9rrez Hern\u00e1ndez<\/strong>, is widely regarded as one of Real Madrid\u2019s most iconic academy graduates.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After progressing through the club\u2019s youth system, he made his senior debut in December 1995 and spent 15 years as a regular figure in the first team, making 542 appearances for Real Madrid, scoring 77 goals and winning 15 major trophies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Internationally, Guti earned 13 caps for Spain national football team between 1999 and 2005.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After his retirement in 2012, he moved into coaching roles with both Real Madrid and <strong>Be\u015fikta\u015f<\/strong> before taking charge of <strong>UD Almer\u00eda<\/strong> in 2019.
