While six months since its remote gambling tax was lowered, <strong>Estonia<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/sbceurasia.com\/en\/2026\/06\/23\/estonian-gambling-tax-reform-uncertainty-remains\/\">has still not been able<\/a> to demonstrate whether or not the tax reduction was a good move or not.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Austria\u2019s three ruling parties<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/sbceurasia.com\/en\/2026\/06\/25\/austria-gambling-market-launch-set-for-2027\/\">will target<\/a> October 2027 as the launch date for the much anticipated licensed market \u2013 essentially ending the <strong>Casinos Austria<\/strong> monopoly across both land-based and online (<strong>Win2Day<\/strong>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The proposed collective gambling tax across the <strong>European Union<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/sbceurasia.com\/en\/2026\/06\/26\/eu-is-discussing-the-possibility-of-collective-taxation-of-the-gambling-sector\/\">is making progress<\/a>. While <strong>the Cura\u00e7ao Gaming Authority (CGA)<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/sbceurasia.com\/en\/2026\/06\/26\/curacao-has-no-plans-to-restrict-cryptocurrencies\/\">has confirmed<\/a> that the use of cryptocurrency payments will remain permitted in the market, despite the regulator\u2019s shift toward a stricter regulatory framework.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The Dutch online gambling association VNLOK<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/sbceurasia.com\/en\/2026\/06\/23\/meta-to-face-lawsuit-in-the-netherlands-over-online-gambling-advertising-violations\/\"> has announced<\/a> its intention to file a lawsuit against <strong>Meta<\/strong> in the EU, accusing the company of failing to effectively block illegal gambling advertisements on its platforms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Entain<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/sbceurasia.com\/en\/2026\/06\/26\/entain-begins-central-and-eastern-europe-exit-with-e425m-sale-of-20-stake-in-entain-cee\/\">will close the shutters<\/a> on its <strong>Central and Eastern Europe (CEE)<\/strong> operations. The group has agreed to sell its 20% stake in the <strong>Entain CEE<\/strong> business to its joint venture partner <strong>EMMA Capital <\/strong>for a total cash consideration of around \u20ac425m.
