{"id":13496,"date":"2026-07-14T12:48:58","date_gmt":"2026-07-14T11:48:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sbceurasia.com\/en\/?p=13496"},"modified":"2026-07-14T12:49:03","modified_gmt":"2026-07-14T11:49:03","slug":"rank-group-appoints-richard-harris-as-ceo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sbceurasia.com\/en\/2026\/07\/14\/rank-group-appoints-richard-harris-as-ceo\/","title":{"rendered":"Rank Group Appoints Richard Harris as CEO"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Rank Group <\/strong>has confirmed that interim Chief Executive Officer <strong>Richard Harris<\/strong> will take on the role at the land-based casino operator permanently, effective immediately.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The former Chief Financial Officer had been serving as interim CEO of Rank since 30 January, following the retirement of former CEO <strong>John O\u2019Reilly.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Both internal and external candidates were considered for the position before Harris was selected, with the search process overseen by the group\u2019s Nominations Committee, chaired by <strong>John Ott,<\/strong> and supported by <strong>MWM Consulting, <\/strong>an independent executive search firm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, the operator highlighted Harris\u2019 management of the business over the last six months, stating he has \u2018proven that he is well placed to lead Rank as it embarks on an exciting next stage in its development\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On his appointment, Harris commented: \u201cRank is an industry-leading business with a strong portfolio of brands which are synonymous with the UK gaming industry.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI am proud of what Rank has achieved during my tenure as CFO, and I look forward to building on this momentum as we continue to drive growth and evolve the Group\u2019s strategy.
