{"id":13636,"date":"2026-07-29T12:53:35","date_gmt":"2026-07-29T11:53:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sbceurasia.com\/en\/?p=13636"},"modified":"2026-07-29T12:53:39","modified_gmt":"2026-07-29T11:53:39","slug":"bet365-strengthens-italian-presence-through-juventus-partnership","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sbceurasia.com\/en\/2026\/07\/29\/bet365-strengthens-italian-presence-through-juventus-partnership\/","title":{"rendered":"bet365 Strengthens Italian Presence Through Juventus Partnership"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Online betting giant <strong>bet365<\/strong> has added a formidable new partner to its brand-building mission in Italy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The online betting firm has secured a deal with <strong>Juventus, <\/strong>one of the most storied clubs in the history of Italian football and its top-flight league, <strong>Serie A.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Direct deals between betting companies and football clubs are banned in Italy under the 2018 Dignity Decree, much to the chagrin of both the local betting industry and football financiers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>bet365 and the Italian football workaround<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Continued cooperation has been enabled via \u2018infotainment\u2019 deals \u2013 signed between an operator\u2019s media brand, which often carries its name or brand, and a football club.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is exactly the kind of deal bet365 and Juventus have signed. The Turin club has named <strong>bet365 Scores<\/strong>, the firm\u2019s media and livescore platform, its \u2018official sports infotainment partner\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A Juventus statement asserted that the deal will benefit the club\u2019s fans by providing digital content, real-time information and solutions which will \u201caccompany the Bianconeri passion at every moment of the day\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe partnership stems from a shared desire to put fans at the center, offering them simple, immediate and customisable tools to follow their favorite team, stay updated on results and access live data and statistics wherever they are: at home, on the move, at work or at the stadium.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The bookmaker is no stranger to infotainment deals, with bet365 Scores having partnered with SSC Napoli last summer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Italian football\u2019s betting conundrum<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Italy is one of Europe\u2019s largest betting markets, widely considered either the biggest or the second biggest after the UK in terms of Gross Gaming Revenue (GGR).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to the <strong>Blask<\/strong> index, Italy is the third largest in Europe after the UK and Russia with a Competitive Earnings Baseline of US$6.4bn spread across 185 brands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The country\u2019s betting sector is now more than halfway through its first full year under a new regulated market established in November 2025.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Reception to the new framework has been positive, with the tax framework often compared favourably to more burdensome ones seen in the UK, Netherlands and Germany.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The success of the market can be seen in tax returns, with the Italian government declaring some \u20ac6.66bn in non-lottery gambling tax and duties in 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Operators like <strong>Betsson<\/strong> are also counting Italy as one of their most important markets.
