{"id":13923,"date":"2026-09-03T11:21:39","date_gmt":"2026-09-03T10:21:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sbceurasia.com\/en\/?p=13923"},"modified":"2026-09-03T11:21:42","modified_gmt":"2026-09-03T10:21:42","slug":"mozzartbet-to-close-mozzart-com-and-cease-operations-under-malta-licence-on-1-october","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sbceurasia.com\/en\/2026\/09\/03\/mozzartbet-to-close-mozzart-com-and-cease-operations-under-malta-licence-on-1-october\/","title":{"rendered":"Mozzartbet to Close Mozzart.com and Cease Operations Under Malta Licence on 1 October"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Mozzartbet Group<\/strong> will cease operating under its <strong>Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) <\/strong>licence from 1 October 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The decision will see the international betting operator discontinue <strong>Mozzart.com<\/strong>, which has operated under Mozzartbet Malta Limited\u2019s MGA licence since March 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A notification of the closure was issued to media partners on 27 August, reading as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe regret to inform you that, following a strategic decision by management, Mozzartbet Malta Limited will cease its operations under its MGA licence and discontinue the Mozzart.com brand, including the affiliate programme operated under that brand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThis decision follows our determination to focus exclusively on the markets in which we hold local licences and operate under local regulation.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mozzart.com is scheduled to close on 1 October, with partners informed that final commissions will be calculated on activity generated up to and including 30 September.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Its affiliate links will subsequently be deactivated through the MyAffiliates platform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Focus on established markets<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mozzartbet Malta operates from its registered office in St Julian\u2019s, Malta, while the wider Mozzartbet Group is headquartered in Belgrade, Serbia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The wider Mozzart business was founded in Belgrade in 2001 by Serbian entrepreneur <strong>Dejan \u010cakajac <\/strong>and has since developed into one of the Balkans\u2019 leading betting groups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the time of publication, licence MGA\/B2C\/606\/2018 remained listed as active on the MGA\u2019s register of authorised online gambling businesses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The announcement confirms that Mozzartbet will maintain its presence and commercial focus in its locally licensed markets. Its affiliate programmes in Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kenya and Nigeria will continue unchanged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mozzartbet also maintains operations in other regulated markets, including North Macedonia, Romania, Croatia and Ghana. However, these markets were not specifically addressed in the affiliate notice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The company told SBC News that \u201cthe decision relates solely to the Mozzart.com business operated under the MGA licence\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cIt does not affect any of our other operations.
