In addition, separate zones have been designated for casinos and gaming halls intended exclusively for foreign nationals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Gambling establishments may be located:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>along the coast of the Kapshagay Reservoir in the Almaty Region;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>in the Burabay District of the Akmola Region.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Separate gambling zones for foreign nationals have also been approved:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>in the Talgar and Uygur districts of the Almaty Region;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>along the Caspian Sea coast in the Mangystau Region;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>along the shore of Lake Alakol and in the Panfilov District of the Zhetisu Region;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>in the Markakol area and the Zaysan District of the East Kazakhstan Region;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>in the Baiterek District of the West Kazakhstan Region;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>along the shore of Lake Alakol in the Abai Region.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Only foreign nationals and stateless persons will be allowed to visit casinos and gaming slot halls located in these zones. An exception will be made for employees of gambling establishments and other persons who are on the premises in connection with their work duties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The government resolution will enter into force on September 11.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Gambling in Kazakhstan is strictly regulated and permitted only in designated areas. Under current law, casinos and slot machine halls may operate only in Konaev and Burabay.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The organization of gambling outside these designated zones, including through the internet and mobile applications, is prohibited and may result in criminal liability.
