The Isle of Man\u2019s gambling regulator has reported cases of illegal gambling platforms misusing its name and logos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Gambling Supervision Commission (GSC)<\/strong> said action was needed to remove websites publishing copies of gambling licences and regulatory documents to create a \u201cfalse impression that they hold a GSC licence and are regulated by the Commission\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n On 12 October, the regulator added nine more URLs to its list of identified websites, bringing the total number of links on the list to 162. The Commission has maintained the list since 2013.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The updated list includes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Commission stated: \u201cThe GSC wishes to remind consumers that a licence is issued to a specific operator and approved domain name(s). The presence of a licence document or the Isle of Man Government crest on a website does not, in itself, confirm that the website is authorised by, or operating under the supervision of, the GSC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cConsumers are urged to exercise caution before engaging with any gambling website and to verify that the operator holds a current and valid licence.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n
