{"id":14334,"date":"2026-10-23T10:07:35","date_gmt":"2026-10-23T09:07:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sbceurasia.com\/en\/?p=14334"},"modified":"2026-10-23T10:07:38","modified_gmt":"2026-10-23T09:07:38","slug":"curacao-gaming-authority-develops-new-platform-after-portal-hack","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sbceurasia.com\/en\/2026\/10\/23\/curacao-gaming-authority-develops-new-platform-after-portal-hack\/","title":{"rendered":"Cura\u00e7ao Gaming Authority Develops New Platform After Portal Hack"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The Cura\u00e7ao Gaming Authority (CGA)<\/strong> has filed complaints in three countries following a well-publicised data breach by the German hacker<strong> Lilith Wittman.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Complaints have been filed in<strong> Germany, the Netherlands and Cura\u00e7ao<\/strong> after Wittman accessed the CGA\u2019s online portal between December 2025 and September 2026, publishing thousands of documents related to the ownership structure of Cura\u00e7ao-licensed firms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She alleged that the CGA had ignored serious problems related to the leadership of various operators when granting licences as part of the implementation of <strong>LOK <\/strong>in 2024 in a series of articles published in various languages across Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The CGA described her actions as \u2018criminal conduct\u2019, adding that it has hired specialist companies to remove the information available on the internet and is considering civil legal action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It has also launched an investigation to assess the attack&#8217;s impact and consequences, and to identify ways to improve its systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The regulator said in a statement: \u201cAs more information is handled digitally, organisations around the world face the risk of hacking and data breaches. This does not make what happened at CGA any less serious. It shows why digital security requires continuous attention.
