The final number of job losses has not yet been determined.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Staff at Coolbet\u2019s Tallinn office were informed of the proposed restructuring during a meeting on 26 October. The company has notified <strong>Estonia\u2019s Unemployment Insurance Fund <\/strong>of the planned collective redundancies. Chief Operating Officer <strong>Tomas Graham<\/strong> said the consultation process was expected to continue throughout November, although no final date has been confirmed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The proposed cuts are expected to affect primarily development, IT and B2B positions, alongside some customer support and other service roles. <strong>VG Estonia<\/strong> employs more than 360 people, while Coolbet has approximately 1,000 employees worldwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Coolbet said the proposed restructuring aims to ensure its long-term sustainability and competitiveness. The company pointed to business challenges, weaker-than-expected B2B performance and growing regulatory and tax pressures across several markets. Its B2B operations, particularly in the United States, have reportedly underperformed over the past 12 to 18 months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Meanwhile, Coolbet\u2019s B2C business has performed better, supported by the World Cup and results in its core markets. The company became part of <strong>Sega Sammy<\/strong> following the Japanese group\u2019s acquisition of its parent company, <strong>GAN,<\/strong> in 2025.
