In recent months, the number of provocative accusations against the legal gambling market and, in particular, the Commission for Regulation of Gambling and Lotteries, has been steadily increasing. In this regard, Anton Kuchukhidze<\/strong>, head of the Ukrainian Gambling Council<\/strong>, spoke about the facts and statistics that are the best response to provocations and misinformation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00abThe real contribution of the industry to the domestic economy is completely ignored. Similarly, critics fail to mention the fact that the licensed gambling operators have voluntarily funded the army and supported the population since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thanks to the great work of the team, the Commission for the Regulation of Gambling and Lotteries paid more than UAH 522 million to the state budget in the first quarter of 2023. This is 62% more than the planned amount of UAH 322 million.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the plan for 2023, a total of UAH 1,596 million in revenue from gambling licenses should go to the state budget. This means that 34.5% of this amount has already been received in the first three months of this year\u00bb, \u2014 noted the Head of UGC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kuchukhidze predicts that if this trend continues, legal gambling revenue will exceed the budgeted amount by the end of the year. The likelihood that this forecast will come true increases sharply after the final adoption of the bill on tax reform 2713-d<\/strong> and the introduction of the State Online Monitoring System<\/strong> (SOMS<\/strong>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
