{"id":2616,"date":"2023-08-10T05:40:59","date_gmt":"2023-08-10T04:40:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sbceurasia.com\/en\/?p=2616"},"modified":"2023-08-10T05:41:00","modified_gmt":"2023-08-10T04:41:00","slug":"serie-a-repackaged-betting-data-rights-for-2024-25-season","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sbceurasia.com\/en\/2023\/08\/10\/serie-a-repackaged-betting-data-rights-for-2024-25-season\/","title":{"rendered":"Serie A Repackaged Betting Data Rights For 2024\/25 Season"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Serie A<\/strong> Management has published the updated terms for general rights that ensure strict compliance with data dissemination, authorization and exclusivity contracts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Serie A has developed nine packages available to all stakeholders, and each of them, labeled A-F(c), is a structured set covering a variety of aspects related to media and betting rights at both global and national league levels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Probably the most important for most of the data providers in the international betting scene, including <strong>Sportradar<\/strong>, <strong>Genius Sports<\/strong>, <strong>IMG<\/strong> and current rights holder <strong>Stats Perform<\/strong>, is Package A.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The International Sports Betting Package covers audiovisual rights, match and coach data applicable to all countries and territories including the UK and Germany.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Italy remains a significant betting market in its own right, with the presence of several international and domestic brands such as <strong>bwin<\/strong>-branded <strong>Entain<\/strong>, <strong>Sisal<\/strong>-branded <strong>Flutter<\/strong> and <strong>PlanetWin<\/strong>-branded <strong>SKS365<\/strong>. That is why package B is also of great importance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Unlike Package A, this package does not include audiovisual rights, but covers match and coach data for the Italian market.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The C-E packages include media data, sports betting tracking data, and media monitoring data, while the three F packages consist of combinations of other packages. F(a) is a combination of packages A and B, F(b) includes packages A, B and D, and F(c) covers packages C and E.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The document also sets out specific requirements and controls regarding how licensed partners may provide\/authorize Series A data and content for sublicensing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In terms of financial obligations, a deposit of 15% of the total license fee must be paid to the league upon the signing of any agreements. This will be followed by three installments of the remaining annual fee: 40% by July 1, 2024, another 40% by November 1, 2024, and the final 30% by March 1, 2025. These dates will be repeated annually for the duration of the contract.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Copyright holders can use sponsorship and advertising opportunities, however, certain restrictions should be complied with. In particular, companies may not use images of Serie A players, officials or management, or the league&#8217;s official logo or emblem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Finally, Serie A license holders are required to provide monthly details on the top 10 markets by gross gaming revenue (GGR), authorized user betting habits both in-game and pre-match, and the league&#8217;s market share relative to other national leagues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The domestic and international betting rights for Series A are currently owned by London-based sports technology company Stats Perform.
