Kazakhstan is preparing to introduce a new law<\/a> that will prohibit civil servants, as well as military personnel and members of military formations, from visiting gambling establishments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We\u2019ve reached out to a representative of the international gambling business consulting firm \u2014 4H Agency <\/strong>\u2014 for comments on the recent legislative changes that might affect gambling in Kazakhstan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hennadiy Novikov<\/strong>, Head of Consulting, 4H Agency, said: \u00abIt should be noted that the idea of restricting access to gambling for people who receive salaries from the state budget is not new in the post-Soviet region. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00abMore than a year ago, Georgia added all civil servants to the \u00abblack list\u00bb of players. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00abHowever, it should be noted that the proposed project does not in any way restrict these categories of Kazakhstanis from participating in online sports betting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00abAt the same time, it should be said that a complete ban on the participation of certain persons in gambling is technically very difficult to implement due to the spread of the Internet.\u00bb<\/p>\n\n\n\n
