{"id":3305,"date":"2023-10-04T15:20:58","date_gmt":"2023-10-04T14:20:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sbceurasia.com\/en\/?p=3305"},"modified":"2023-10-04T15:22:34","modified_gmt":"2023-10-04T14:22:34","slug":"a-new-stage-in-gambling-regulation-ukraine-establishes-a-complete-ban-on-advertising","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sbceurasia.com\/en\/2023\/10\/04\/a-new-stage-in-gambling-regulation-ukraine-establishes-a-complete-ban-on-advertising\/","title":{"rendered":"A New Stage In Gambling Regulation: Ukraine Establishes A Complete Ban On Advertising"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>On October 2, changes to advertising requirements came into force in Ukraine, providing for a complete ban on gambling advertising.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Under the new rules, it is <strong>prohibited<\/strong> to advertise gambling:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li> in broadcasting from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.; <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li> in scientific, popular science, educational, socio-political, reference, literary and artistic publications, publications for children and youth and other publications (except for specific media dedicated to gambling);<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li> in all print media (except for specific media outlets dedicated to gambling);<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li> on the external and internal surfaces of public transport, including the subway;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li> means of outdoor advertising;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li> on goods (including clothing) intended primarily for persons under 21 years of age;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li> in entertainment venues, theater and concert halls, sporting events, sports competitions and other events where persons under 21 years of age may see the ad.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>What <strong>should not be used <\/strong>in gambling advertising? According to the new law, it is prohibited to distribute gambling advertising if:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>persons under 21 years of age are used in gambling advertising, including as models;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>advertising of gambling creates the impression that it is easy to win, and also that gambling can be a source of income or an alternative to work;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>a gambling product is placed (product placement);<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>operators, trademarks and other objects of intellectual property rights, under which the activities of organizing and conducting gambling are carried out without having a proper license for organizing and conducting gambling.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>For violation of these rules, large fines will be applied, starting from a minimum amount of UAH 2,010,000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Don&#8217;t forget to subscribe to our <a href=\"https:\/\/bit.ly\/3BHW1zr\">Telegram channel<\/a>!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On October 2, changes to advertising requirements came into force in Ukraine, providing for a complete ban on gambling advertising.&nbsp; Under the new rules, it is prohibited to advertise gambling: What should not be used in gambling advertising?
