{"id":4002,"date":"2023-12-13T13:55:17","date_gmt":"2023-12-13T13:55:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sbceurasia.com\/en\/?p=4002"},"modified":"2023-12-13T13:55:18","modified_gmt":"2023-12-13T13:55:18","slug":"img-and-caf-join-forces-in-exclusive-distribution-agreement","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sbceurasia.com\/en\/2023\/12\/13\/img-and-caf-join-forces-in-exclusive-distribution-agreement\/","title":{"rendered":"IMG and CAF Join Forces in Exclusive Distribution Agreement"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>IMG<\/strong> now has exclusive rights to distribute international media products for <strong>Confederation of African Football (CAF) <\/strong>events in over 85 countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The deal runs from 2023 to 2025, allowing the global sports, events and representation company to manage the broadcast of the two <strong>Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) <\/strong>tournaments and the respective qualifying matches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The next two AFCON tournaments are the <strong>TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations<\/strong>, which will be held in C\u00f4te d\u2019Ivoire in 2023, and the <strong>CAF Africa Cup of Nation<\/strong>, scheduled for 2025 in Morocco.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Robyn Cox<\/strong>, VP &amp; Managing Director for IMG\u2019s media business in Africa, noted: \u201cThe TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations is the biggest event on the African Continent and one of football\u2019s most watched competitions. We\u2019re looking forward to expanding our partnership with CAF to help unlock greater value from its media rights, grow the competition\u2019s global audiences and enhance fans\u2019 viewing experience\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is worth noting that the deal does not include the Middle East, North Africa and some southern African territories. However, this partnership strengthens IMG&#8217;s ties with CAF, which has struck a deal with <strong>Puma<\/strong> to supply the official ball for tournaments hosted by CAF. In addition, IMG provides marketing intelligence, data analytics and advisory support to develop CAF&#8217;s new commercial sponsorship strategy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe Digital Trends 2024\u201d report, published last week by IMG, highlighted that digital learning will have the &#8220;most direct and profound impact&#8221; on sports rights holders in 2024.
