In November 686 new participants expressed a desire to enter the gambling market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The Chilean Senate<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/sbceurasia.com\/en\/2023\/12\/18\/incomplete-gambling-bill-on-the-agenda-of-the-chilean-senate-details-and-prospects\/\">will debate<\/a> the content and form of the proposed <strong>Federal Gambling Law <\/strong>(035\/2022), which aims to revise outdated laws regarding gambling in the Andean country. Despite unresolved differences, Chile\u2019s Chamber of Deputies this week passed the bill with a majority of 97 votes in favor and 28 against.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The Senate of Brazil <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/sbceurasia.com\/en\/2023\/12\/18\/brazil-betting-bill-returns-to-deputies-as-senate-flip-flops-on-casino-orders\/\">has approved<\/a> the \u2018basic text\u2019 of Bill 3626\/2023, providing the foundations for the launch of a federal sports betting market. Yet, following further amendments, the Senate has ordered that the Bill be returned to the Chamber of Deputies for further analysis. The decision follows three critical considerations debated by the Senate yesterday afternoon ahead of its symbolic vote. The Senate considered \u2018amendments and limitations\u2019, in which it upheld an appeal by Liberal Party Senator Carlos Portinho (RJ) to exclude online casino modalities from the Bill\u2019s text.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The Parliament of Kazakhstan<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/sbceurasia.com\/en\/2023\/12\/11\/the-impact-of-the-gambling-advertising-ban-on-the-media-market-in-kazakhstan\/\">was discussing<\/a> a bill aimed at limiting the activities of gaming establishments and regulating their advertising, while the Office of National Statistics <a href=\"https:\/\/sbceurasia.com\/en\/2023\/12\/13\/the-volume-of-gambling-services-decreased-in-the-republic-of-kazakhstan\/\">reported<\/a> that the volume of gambling services in the amount of 285 billion tenge was recorded in nine months of 2023. The Minister of Sports and Tourism, <strong>Ermek Marzhikpayev<\/strong>, <a href=\"https:\/\/sbceurasia.com\/en\/2023\/12\/14\/kazakhstan-proposes-to-ban-access-to-gambling-for-debt-ridden-gamblers\/\">confirmed<\/a> that the Parliament is discussing changes that will restrict gambling for certain groups of people affecting everyone included in the register of debtors, alimony defaulters or those with loan debts. Additionally, an increase in the age threshold to 25 years and a complete ban on advertising of bookmakers and sweepstakes on all platforms are being considered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Uzbekistan<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/sbceurasia.com\/en\/2023\/12\/11\/bank-transfers-uzbekistan-is-preparing-a-ban-on-transactions-with-foreign-gambling-operators\/\">is getting ready to ban bank transfers<\/a> to foreign gambling companies. If suspicious transactions are detected, the Central Bank of Uzbekistan will temporarily block customer cards for a period of up to three days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>IMG<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/sbceurasia.com\/en\/2023\/12\/13\/img-and-caf-join-forces-in-exclusive-distribution-agreement\/\">has gained exclusive rights<\/a> to distribute international media products for <strong>Confederation of African Football<\/strong> (CAF) events in over 85 countries.
