The Agency of Financial Monitors<\/strong> of Kazakhstan announced the launch of an extensive investigation into the case of the 1WIN<\/strong> online casino.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Department of the Financial Monitoring Agency for the Almaty region is conducting a preliminary investigation into the illegal activities of the online casino “1WIN”, operating not only in Kazakhstan, but also in the CIS countries and beyond. In addition to organizing illegal gambling, which involved thousands of citizens, the platform also provided betting services without the appropriate license. According to the press service of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Financial Monitoring, the process of collecting funds took place through Internet acquisition without authentication, which created the opportunity for minors to participate in games.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the investigation, property and funds subject to confiscation were seized with a total value of 1.5 billion tenge. A Mercedes-Maybach S500 and a Lamborghini Huracan were seized.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now the online casino site is blocked, and four of the organizers have been put on the international wanted list.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2023, the turnover of the 1WIN online casino is estimated at about 4 billion tenge. According to the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the activities of online casinos are prohibited, and the provision of bookmaking services is permitted only with the appropriate license.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
