The conditions involved a \u20ac550m contingency reward in 2024, with a BetCity 10x target EBITDA by the end of the 2023 financial year.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The FTSE100 firm now claims that the deal was overpriced due to two ongoing investigations by the Dutch <strong>Kansspelautoriteit (KSA)<\/strong> gaming authority that the sellers \u2013 Sports Entertainment Media BV, the Singels Family, former BetCity CEO Melvin Bostelaar, and former executive Robert Kooiman \u2013 failed to disclose.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The two probes resulted in BetCity being fined \u20ac3m for violations of the Dutch Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing Act (Wwft), and an additional \u20ac400,000 over advertising shortcomings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Entain has maintained that the owners <strong>were aware<\/strong> of the ongoing investigations, despite no knowledge indicated by BetCity during the time of the purchase.
