{"id":4820,"date":"2024-02-29T09:36:33","date_gmt":"2024-02-29T09:36:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sbceurasia.com\/en\/?p=4820"},"modified":"2024-02-29T09:36:37","modified_gmt":"2024-02-29T09:36:37","slug":"pga-tour-enters-the-coalition-for-responsible-sustainable-betting-advertising","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sbceurasia.com\/en\/2024\/02\/29\/pga-tour-enters-the-coalition-for-responsible-sustainable-betting-advertising\/","title":{"rendered":"PGA TOUR Enters the Coalition for Responsible Sustainable Betting Advertising"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The <strong>PGA TOUR<\/strong> has made a strong commitment to fair sports betting by partnering with the <strong>Coalition for Responsible Sustainable Betting Advertising.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Formed in 2023 with the participation of the NFL and FOX, the coalition partners, along with MLB, NASCAR, NBA, WNBA, NHL and NBC Sports, focus on maintaining responsible standards in sports betting advertising.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Scott Warfield<\/strong>, Vice President of Gaming at the PGA TOUR, noted: \u201cWith the proliferation of sports betting in the United States, the PGA TOUR remains committed to establishing a safe and healthy marketplace for consumers.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The coalition and its members are committed to limiting betting advertising to adults only and avoiding over-promotion of gambling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Their joint statement emphasized: \u201cAs the legalization of sports betting spreads nationwide, we feel it is critical to establish guardrails around how sports betting should be advertised to consumers across the United States.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Each member of the coalition feels a responsibility to ensure sports betting advertising is not only targeted to an appropriate audience but also that the message is thoughtfully crafted and carefully delivered.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The leading golf event is once again partnering with the <strong>Leadership Circle of the National Council on Problem Gambling (NCPG)<\/strong>,&nbsp; joining other organizations in the initiative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Warfield continued: \u201cThe TOUR is proud to stand alongside its fellow sports leagues and network partners on the coalition, as well as with our colleagues at NCPG, in our continued mission to educate fans on the merits of gambling responsibly and the resources available to address problem gambling issues.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>NCPG actively advocates for reducing the economic and social costs associated with problem gambling.
