{"id":4947,"date":"2024-03-13T07:20:17","date_gmt":"2024-03-13T07:20:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sbceurasia.com\/en\/?p=4947"},"modified":"2024-03-13T07:20:22","modified_gmt":"2024-03-13T07:20:22","slug":"ukgc-finalises-membership-of-new-industry-forum","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sbceurasia.com\/en\/2024\/03\/13\/ukgc-finalises-membership-of-new-industry-forum\/","title":{"rendered":"UKGC Finalises Membership of New Industry Forum"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The <strong>UK Gambling Commission<\/strong> (<strong>UKGC<\/strong>) has announced the newly appointed members of the \u2018Industry Forum\u2019 to provide greater insights and feedback from licensed operators.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The initiative was launched by UKGC Chairman <strong>Marcus Boyle<\/strong> in September 2023, to establish an Industry Forum providing feedback from licensed operators accommodating new regulatory and compliance demands across their platforms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Industry Forum is recognised as the UKGC\u2019s fourth \u2018special advisory\u2019, in which the regulator is currently supported by the Lived Experience Panel, the Advisory Board for Safer Gambling, and the Digital Advisory Panel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the close of 2023, the Commission confirmed the appointment of <strong>Nick Rust<\/strong> (OBE), former Chief Executive of the <strong>British Horseracing Authority<\/strong> (<strong>BHA<\/strong>), as the first chair of the Industry Forum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The former Managing Director of Ladbrokes UK, Coral Group, and BSkyB Gaming, Rust will serve a three-year tenure as inaugural chair of the Industry Forum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Commission announced that Rust will lead a panel of nine members formed by:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Tony Boulton \u2013 Director of Public Affairs, MERKUR UK<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Kirsty Caldwell \u2013 Founder of BetSmart Consultancy<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Charles Cohen \u2013 CEO and Founder of DoTrust Compliance<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ashley Padgett \u2013 Director of Compliance, Flutter UK and Ireland<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mark Pearson \u2013 Media Director, Betfred<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Nigel Roddis \u2013 Managing Director of Britbet<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Leo Walker \u2013 Customer Operations Director, Entain PLC<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Helen Walton \u2013 Founder and Chief Commercial Officer of G.Games<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>David Williams \u2013 Director of Public Affairs at Rank Group PLC<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Nick Rust, Chair of the Forum, said: \u201cWe had more than 40 applications from across the gambling industry from people wanting to take an active role in the inaugural Industry Forum.
