The ban, however, led to the flourishing of illegal gambling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The decision to \u201cunban\u201d sports betting was made by the country\u2019s authorities in the face of a budget deficit. The Albanian government expects the legalization of sports betting to bring in around <strong>17 million Euros<\/strong> in annual tax revenue. All proceeds will be directed to sports, culture and youth initiatives in the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Belgian gambling regulator<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/sbceurasia.com\/en\/2022\/10\/24\/belgium-has-lowered-the-deposit-limit-for-bets-to-200-euros-per-week\/\">aims to limit<\/a> the amount of players\u2019 weekly deposits to 200 Euros. This represents more than half of what was allowed previously (\u20ac500 limit).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The new rule will be applied by default for all players, but it will be possible to increase the limit to \u20ac500 per week in a case by case manner.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To do that, players will need to contact their gambling operator. The operator will then contact the regulator, who in turn will request the player\u2019s data from the <strong>Belgian National Bank<\/strong>. If there are no suspicious points in the client\u2019s credit history, the regulator will allow the operator to increase the player\u2019s deposit limit. The regulator claims that the entire procedure should take no more than three days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The SportingPedia<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/sbceurasia.com\/en\/2022\/10\/31\/gaming-firms-are-among-the-top-five-sponsors-of-the-nba\/\">has published<\/a> the results of their research of the <strong>NBA<\/strong>\u2019s most lucrative sponsorship arrangements ahead of the new 2022\/2023 season\u2019s launch.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tech companies are at the top of the <strong>NBA<\/strong> sponsors list this season with <strong>Microsoft<\/strong>, <strong>Oculus<\/strong>, <strong>Sony<\/strong>, <strong>LegalZoom<\/strong>, <strong>Google Pixel<\/strong>, and <strong>Coinbase<\/strong> being the most prominent. Tech sponsorships make up 28% of the entire sponsorship money pool.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>iGaming<\/strong> companies are in fourth place with 9% share of the entire sponsorship pool. For the 2022\/2023 season the list of the top iGaming sponsors in the NBA include major US operators such as <strong>FanDuel<\/strong>, <strong>DraftKings<\/strong>, <strong>BetMGM<\/strong> and <strong>Caesars Sports<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Betsson<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/sbceurasia.com\/en\/2022\/10\/27\/betsson-reaches-heights-ahead-of-world-cup\/\">announced<\/a> its strong quarterly results. According to the company&#8217;s report, the group\u2019s income amounted to <strong>200 million Euros<\/strong>, up 18% compared to the same period in 2021.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The report cites growth in <strong>Central<\/strong> and <strong>Eastern Europe<\/strong> as well as the <strong>Baltics<\/strong> (Estonia and Lithuania) as the main difference makers.&nbsp; Adding local mass-market brands <strong>Big Bola Mexico<\/strong> and <strong>ColBet Colombia<\/strong> to its South American online portfolio boosted the overall performance.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Betsson<\/strong>\u2019s strategic moves has allowed the company to overcome the adverse factors in Western Europe, where sales fell by 29%.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Building on top of the international success, <strong>Betsson<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/sbceurasia.com\/en\/2022\/10\/27\/betsson-acquires-majority-stake-in-b2b-sportsbook-business\/\">has recently acquired<\/a> an 80% stake in <strong>KickerTech Limited<\/strong>, a Vilnius-based team of 50 professionals that develop state-of-the-art odds models, trading technologies and betting features.
