The Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL) <\/strong>has raised concerns<\/a> over the government\u2019s proposal to establish a new gambling framework. In July, the Ministry of the Interior initiated consultations with government bodies on plans to revamp Finland\u2019s gambling regime by 2027. While Montenegro\u2019s gambling sector faces likely fiscal change<\/a>s as the Ministry of Finance <\/strong>endorses a 15% tax charged on customer winnings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, divisions within Thailand\u2019s Parliament<\/strong> have stalled progress on the bill to legalize casinos. The Bangkok Post reported that the Bhumjaithai Party<\/strong>, part of the ruling coalition, voiced objections<\/a> to various aspects of the bill, with concerns echoed by opposition parties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Macau\u2019s Galaxy Entertainment Group<\/strong> has published<\/a> its results for Q2 and the H1 of 2024. For the H1 of the year, the group\u2019s net revenue reached HK$ 21.5 billion (USD 2.76 billion), a 37% increase compared to the same period last year. Kambi<\/strong>, the B2B gambling giant, has released<\/a> a detailed report on betting trends during the Euro 2024 <\/strong>and Copa Am\u00e9rica<\/strong>, drawing on data from its B2C operator partners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

PlayUp Interactive<\/strong> has been sanctioned<\/a> with a record AUS$586,000 fine from the New South Wales gambling regulator for \u201coffering free bets and inducing people to gamble\u201d.
