CEO of Australian Crown Resorts<\/strong> Ciaran Carruthers<\/strong> has confirmed his departure after nearly two years with the company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He said he was leaving the company after a “transformation” while President and COO David Tsai<\/strong> will take over on an interim charge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This comes after regulators handed Crown Resorts back control of its licenses after a period of regulatory woes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

John Borghetti<\/strong>, Chairman of Crown Resorts, also backed Crown’s growth under Carruthers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Borgetti expressed: \u201cUnder Ciaran\u2019s leadership, Crown has achieved critical milestones including a whole-of-business transformation and remediation programme.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Carruthers added: \u201cI am very pleased to hand over a stronger, compliant and transformed business to its next leader. There is more work to do, but I am very proud of what we have achieved as a team.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Earlier this year, the Independent Casino Commission <\/strong>of New South Wales announced that Crown Resorts’ Crown Sydney property was compliant to retain its license following a regulatory review. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the time, Crown said it had invested A$200 million to transform its operations, including implementing “wide-ranging reforms to mitigate harm, combat financial crime, improve governance, compliance and risk management.” It also reduced its workforce by 1,000 as it adapts to the region’s complex regulatory environment. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
