Aiming to combine the atmosphere of Las Vegas with online gaming, two leading industry giants have teamed up to offer players the chance to participate in real Las Vegas casinos through digital platforms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At the SBC Summit<\/strong>, Playtech Live<\/strong> CEO<\/strong> Edo Haitin<\/strong> and MGM Resorts International\u2019s SVP and Head of Interactive, Christian Stuart,<\/strong> revealed the details of a collaboration that will bring live dealer game broadcasts from MGM\u2019s Las Vegas resorts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Haitin noted that Playtech has been considering entering the Las Vegas market for \u201cmany years,\u201d seeking to bring the casino experience to other regulated markets worldwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Playtech Live CEO emphasized that MGM is a \u201ckey player in the Las Vegas market and on the Strip,\u201d explaining the choice of this operator for launching the MGM Live<\/strong> product.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Through their collaboration, Playtech has developed live dealer games broadcast from two of MGM\u2019s flagship casinos on the Vegas<\/strong> Strip\u2014Bellagio<\/strong> and MGM Grand<\/strong>\u2014using the operator\u2019s branding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Explaining MGM\u2019s motivation for joining the project, Stuart mentioned that the company has been \u201cinterested in the live casino segment for some time,\u201d recognizing its potential for \u201csignificant revenue\u201d and noting the presence of \u201cstrong players in this market.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n Both Playtech and MGM representatives stressed the importance of making players feel like part of the Las Vegas atmosphere. Stuart expects players to enjoy gaming from the comfort of their homes, \u201cplaying in Vegas tonight.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n Haitin also highlighted MGM\u2019s ability to \u201cpresent their product to players\u201d to \u201crecreate the magic of Vegas\u201d through Playtech\u2019s solutions, noting that \u201coperators\u2019 products often lose the true character of the brand.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n Job creation was another important aspect of the partnership. Haitin explained that while Playtech usually employs its own staff for live casino content, the launch of MGM Live allows for \u201cnew jobs to open up in Vegas\u201d and for them to \u201cdiscover new stars.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n The CEO noted that this deal has brought a \u201cwind of change,\u201d as games have already been launched in Mexico with Caliente<\/strong> and in the UK with bet365<\/strong> as part of the collaboration, showing that what happens in Vegas no longer stays in Vegas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The MGM Live content will be based on the operator’s \u201ctimeless classic assets\u201d in Vegas, with live dealer games broadcasted in front of the famous Bellagio fountains.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Haitin and Stuart both emphasized the importance of making the content \u201csafe and responsible.\u201d Stuart stressed the need to approach each step of the expansion \u201cwith all due diligence.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n Although broadcast from the US, MGM Live will only be available to customers in Nevada due to US regulations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n However, should the opportunity arise to extend this content across the country, Stuart stated that MGM \u201cwould gladly offer these streams to other states.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n Before the panel wrapped up, Stuart shared some feedback about the collaboration since MGM Live launched from Las Vegas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Haitin mentioned that casino patrons are noticing certain tables being broadcasted, prompting them to engage more with those tables, enhancing the experience for both land-based and online players. \u201cI’m very excited with what we’ve been able to bring to players,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n One game also featured Bellagio\u2019s single-zero roulette table, which Stuart said is very popular on the casino floor.
