It was a busy week for the SBC Summit Lisbon<\/strong><\/a>, which was attended by, among others, the Minister of Economy<\/a> of Portugal Pedro Reis <\/strong>and the Mayor of Lisbon<\/a> Carlos Moedas<\/strong>. The summit promises to deliver significant benefits to the city of Lisbon, with SBC committed to hosting the event at the Feira Internacional de Lisboa<\/strong> for the next five years, ensuring a lasting impact on the local economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Summit is estimated to contribute up to \u20ac100 million in economic benefits to Portugal\u2019s budget, boosting Lisbon\u2019s hospitality, tourism, and local services industries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Eurasia <\/strong>region continues to offer \u201ctremendously fruitful\u201d prospects for the gambling business. In general, gambling in Central Europe and Eurasia is attracting \u201csignificant attention from Western markets,\u201d as noted<\/a> during the global markets panel session at the SBC Summit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Digitain<\/strong> has announced <\/a>that it has successfully received a UK gambling license. This not only strengthens Digitain\u2019s operations but also expands its presence in Europe, further strengthening its position in the gambling industry. While Pragmatic Play<\/strong> has expanded<\/a> its sportsbook offering in the UK market through a partnership with DAZN Bet<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Betting and Gambling Council (BGC)<\/strong> has cautioned<\/a> the government about the significant dangers posed by the unregulated gambling black market, which many Britons may underestimate.
