SBC<\/strong>\u2019s global flagship event, SBC Summit 2024<\/strong> was held<\/a> in Lisbon last week, achieving record-breaking success, setting a new benchmark in the industry and solidifying SBC\u2019s status as a leader in the events sector. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The SBC Summit expo floor was a resounding success, with over 600 exhibitors creating a vibrant and bustling atmosphere. Of these, 250 were new to the SBC Summit, and more than 100 were first-time exhibitors at any SBC event. According to data from the official SBC Summit app, SBC Connect Plus, a record 10,000 meetings were scheduled through the app alone, with thousands more meetings taking place across the summit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, Soft2Bet, Betsson Group <\/strong>and Kaizen Gaming<\/strong> were<\/a> among the standout winners at the 2024 SBC Awards<\/strong>, marking the event\u2019s debut in Lisbon. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

LABOR<\/strong>, the union representing Evolution Georgia<\/strong> employees, has submitted<\/a> a petition to Sweden\u2019s Financial Supervisory Authority, Finansinspektionen<\/strong>, requesting a review of the company\u2019s public disclosures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the petition, the union also cautioned Evolution\u2019s shareholders, stating that the company\u2019s \u201cconfrontational approach toward employees attempting to exercise their rights to freedom of association and collective bargaining\u201d threatens a key element of its business model.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

TotoGaming<\/strong> has strengthened<\/a> its presence in the Romanian market by signing a two-year sponsorship deal with FC CFR Cluj<\/strong>. While 888Africa<\/strong> has become<\/a> Benfica<\/strong>\u2019s betting partner in Mozambique and Angola. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Formula 1 <\/strong>has announced<\/a> 96M<\/strong> as its official betting partner in Asia. The deal aims to offer exclusive content, innovative betting opportunities and a \u201cforward-looking view\u201d on the future of both industries. While Total Performance Data (TPD)<\/strong> has announced<\/a> a multi-year partnership with Bahrain Turf Club<\/strong>. The club will use the real-time racing data from the provider.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sportingtech<\/strong> has expanded<\/a> its presence by opening a new office in Sofia, Bulgaria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Parimatch Group<\/strong> Co-Founder Kateryna Biloruska<\/strong> is to sell<\/a> her controlling stake in the company to fellow Co-Owner Sergey Portnov<\/strong>. Paul Gauselmann <\/strong>stepped down<\/a> from his position as Chair of the Management Board and left executive leadership of Merkur Group<\/strong>. While Entain Plc<\/strong> has announced that Stella David<\/strong> has begun<\/a> her tenure as Chair of the Board of the FTSE 100 gambling group as of 1 October 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On September 30, Brazil\u2019s Finance Minister<\/strong> presented<\/a> the government\u2019s plan to tackle illegal gambling. While the Wyoming Gaming Commission (WGC)<\/strong> has initiated<\/a> a study to evaluate the potential for expanding gambling in the state to include online gaming.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

UK-based operator bet365<\/strong> has strengthened<\/a> its presence in North America with the opening of a new headquarters in Denver, Colorado.
