{"id":7122,"date":"2024-10-09T11:51:36","date_gmt":"2024-10-09T10:51:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sbceurasia.com\/en\/?p=7122"},"modified":"2024-10-09T11:51:41","modified_gmt":"2024-10-09T10:51:41","slug":"uae-grants-wynn-resorts-commercial-gaming-operator-license","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sbceurasia.com\/en\/2024\/10\/09\/uae-grants-wynn-resorts-commercial-gaming-operator-license\/","title":{"rendered":"UAE Grants Wynn Resorts Commercial Gaming Operator License"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Wynn Resorts<\/strong> has announced it has been awarded a commercial gaming operator licence in the United Arab Emirates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Las Vegas-based casino operator has confirmed that it has been issued a Commercial Gaming Facility Operator licence from the <strong>General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority (GCGRA)<\/strong>, the country\u2019s gambling regulator that was established last year.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Wynn Resorts has been developing and constructing a resort at<strong> Wynn Al Marjan Island in Ras Al Khaimah<\/strong> (RAK) over the past year as part of a joint venture between affiliates of<strong> Wynn Resorts, Marjan and RAK Hospitality Holding<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The operator said in a statement: \u201cWynn Resorts thanks the GCGRA for the confidence and trust the licence grant signifies and is proud to be the recipient of the first commercial gaming facility licence in the UAE.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe are underway with the construction of our resort in Ras Al Khaimah and look forward to being a key partner in the development of its tourism economy.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This week at <strong>Wynn Las Vegas<\/strong>, the casino operator will be hosting an analyst and investor update meeting to discuss Wynn Al Marjan Island.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>CEO <strong>Craig Billings <\/strong>and other members of the Wynn Resorts global leadership team will be in attendance at the invitation-only event to deliver presentations, including on the resort\u2019s expected financial performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Billings made comments about the recent developments at Wynn Al Marjan Island back in August, stating to investors that construction was \u201crapidly progressing\u201d and that the UAE was \u201cthe most exciting new market for our industry in decades\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>Don&#8217;t forget to subscribe to our <a href=\"https:\/\/t.me\/sbceurasia\">Telegram channel<\/a>!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Wynn Resorts has announced it has been awarded a commercial gaming operator licence in the United Arab Emirates.
