Sportradar<\/strong> has signed a Technical Cooperation Agreement (ACT)<\/strong> with the Brazilian Ministry of Finance,<\/strong> through the Secretariat of Prizes and Betting.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The pair will collaborate activities focused on safeguarding the integrity of the newly regulated sports betting and online gaming market. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ACT aims to support the technical staff of the Secretariat of Prizes and Betting, given their responsibility at the national level to coordinate the authorisation, inspection and sanctioning process of operators that provide online games and sports betting. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Felippe Marchetti<\/strong>, Sportradar\u2019s Manager for Integrity Partnerships in Brazil, described the signing of the ACT as a \u2018proud occasion\u2019 for the company. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe appreciate the trust shown by the Brazilian Ministry of Finance in the expertise of Sportradar\u2019s Integrity Services division,\u201d Marchetti added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis ACT reflects a mutual commitment to establish a sustainable, regulated sports betting industry in Brazil that is built upon a foundation of integrity.\u201d   <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In further detail, Sportradar\u2019s Integrity Services will offer its expertise to the Secretariat, including reporting any suspicious incidents it may identify through its monitoring of the market, as well as providing strategic counsel to address these situations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, Sportradar will support the ongoing education and training of Secretariat staff on the threat of match-fixing, to enhance their knowledge and understanding of the issue. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ministry of Finance spokesperson responsible for the partnership, R\u00e9gis Dudena<\/strong>, Secretary of Prizes and Betting, added: \u201cThe partnership with Sportradar will be an important tool to combat a major threat to the fixed-odds betting market, which is the risk of manipulation of sports results.\u201d  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This week, the Senate of Brazil \u201cpartially delayed<\/a>\u201d the Commission of Inquiry (CPI) investigations aimed at reviewing the laws, standards, and protections of the Bets regime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The CPIs will serve as the Senate\u2019s evaluation of Brazil\u2019s fixed-odds and online gambling market under the Bets framework, scheduled to launch in 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Senate\u2019s evaluation, assigned to the \u201cCPI of Bets,<\/a>\u201d will examine the financial impact of online gambling on Brazilian citizens, communities, and family finances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
