As defined by <strong>Meta<\/strong>, these queries refer to \u00abcommon types of gambling such as betting\u00bb, lotteries, sweepstakes, casino games, fantasy sports, bingo, poker, sweepstakes, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Belarus<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/sbceurasia.com\/en\/2022\/12\/02\/belarus-plans-to-double-tax-on-online-gambling\/\">plans to increase the amount of taxes<\/a> its government collects from the online gambling sector.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the Belarusian edition of <a href=\"https:\/\/neg.by\/\">Economic Newspaper<\/a>, the tax rate on income from \u201cvirtual gambling establishments\u201d (a formal name for <strong>online gambling<\/strong> in the Belarusian legislative dictionary) will be raised from 4% to 8%. This change will come into force starting from <strong>January 1<\/strong>,<strong> 2023<\/strong>. Online gambling operators will also face new working conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Belgian National Lottery<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/sbceurasia.com\/en\/2022\/11\/28\/belgian-national-lottery-wont-advertise-bets-during-world-cup-due-to-restrictions\/\">will not advertise sports betting products<\/a> during the <strong>2022 FIFA World Cup<\/strong>. Local media reports that Finance Minister <strong>Vincent van Peteghem<\/strong> is tightening his approach to sports betting advertising.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00abAdvertising for sports betting should have no place in broadcasts or reports via television, radio and written press. The National Lottery is already setting a good example by not advertising its sports betting in these channels\u00bb, \u2014 explained the Minister.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The ban plan will continue into the new year. All forms of sports betting marketing will be banned by 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Tammi Barlow<\/strong>, a CRS specialist, <a href=\"https:\/\/sbceurasia.com\/en\/2022\/11\/30\/crs-specialist-tammi-barlow-talks-about-the-pros-and-cons-of-responsible-gambling-in-the-us\/\">talks about the pros and cons of responsible gambling in the US<\/a> in a recent <strong>Martin Lycka\u2019s Safe Bet Show<\/strong> podcast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Having experience in such companies as <strong>William Hill<\/strong>, <strong>Caesars<\/strong>, <strong>IGT<\/strong>, and now <strong>Rush Street Interactive<\/strong>, Tammi Barlow compares the state of responsible gaming initiatives both in Europe and in the US.
