{"id":7918,"date":"2024-12-20T10:03:03","date_gmt":"2024-12-20T10:03:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sbceurasia.com\/en\/?p=7918"},"modified":"2024-12-20T10:03:09","modified_gmt":"2024-12-20T10:03:09","slug":"xlmedia-announces-16m-tender-offer-following-completion-of-transactions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sbceurasia.com\/en\/2024\/12\/20\/xlmedia-announces-16m-tender-offer-following-completion-of-transactions\/","title":{"rendered":"XLMedia Announces \u00a316m Tender Offer Following Completion of Transactions"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>XLMedia<\/strong> has provided an update on the proceeds from the sale of assets related to its businesses in Europe and North America.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In March, the company reached an agreement to sell its European and Canadian sports betting and gaming assets to <strong>Gambling.com Group<\/strong>, completing the deal in April.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In October, XLMedia announced plans to sell its North American business to <strong>Sportradar<\/strong>, with the deal successfully completed in mid-November.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Following the completion of both transactions, XLMedia became an AIM Rule 15 Cash Shell and proposed an initial tender offer of up to \u00a316m ($20.3m), which represents approximately half of its estimated total available cash value.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The company also confirmed that it will not attempt to make an acquisition that constitutes a reverse takeover or become an investment company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>XLMedia estimates potential earnings from its assets in Europe and North America to be in the range of $3m to $4m, with the possibility of reaching up to $5m, although the exact figure is still unknown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As the group closes down, costs between $11m and $13m are expected, which will be used to cover expenses such as redundancy payments, tax settlements in each jurisdiction where it operates, and other obligations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>XLMedia Independent Non-executive Chair<strong> Marcus Rich<\/strong> said: \u201cThe Board wishes to maximise the return of value to shareholders while ensuring that the Group&#8217;s operations are brought to an orderly close, and are reviewing the structure of the board in overseeing the efficient winding down of the group.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Don\u2019t forget to subscribe to our <a href=\"https:\/\/t.me\/sbceurasia\">Telegram channel!<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>XLMedia has provided an update on the proceeds from the sale of assets related to its businesses in Europe and North America.
