The Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan<\/strong> approved<\/a> a resolution to establish the Limited Liability Partnership \u201cUnified Accounting System Operator\u201d (hereinafter referred to as the Partnership). According to the resolution, the Partnership will be created with full state participation in its authorized capital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The live casino games provider Imagine Live<\/strong> has announced<\/a> the appointment of Martin Martirosyan<\/strong> as the new Group CEO. In 2023, Martirosyan joined the parent company Digitain<\/strong> as Deputy CEO.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A German court has suspended<\/a> two cases involving player losses pending regulation and formally asked the European Court of Justice (ECJ) <\/strong>to clarify key legal issues surrounding the regulation of online gambling. While Paris\u2019s gaming clubs were forced to close<\/a> on 31 December due to Michel Barnier\u2019s government<\/strong> being brought down over MPs\u2019 rejection of the country\u2019s 2025 Budget.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thailand <\/strong>plans <\/a>to begin discussions on the potential legalization of online gambling. While Philippine Senator Win Gatchalian<\/strong> emphasized<\/a> the need to continue efforts against Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGOs)<\/strong> despite the expiration of their operating licenses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Ministry of Finance of Brazil<\/strong> has announced<\/a> that 68 companies have successfully completed the application process for obtaining full licenses to launch the Brazil Bets<\/strong> market, which officially started on January 1, 2025. Additionally, the Senate of Brazil <\/strong>has received<\/a> its first update from rapporteurs who will evaluate the economic and integrity threats posed by the country\u2019s new federal regime. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

bet365<\/strong> has launched<\/a> its online casino and sportsbook products in Brazil. Additionally, bet365 has returned<\/a> to operating profits as the Coates-owned family business reports improved sports betting results, though earnings from gaming remain flat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

MLB Players Inc. (MLBPI)<\/strong> is firing back<\/a> at the suggestion that DraftKings<\/strong> and bet365 were exercising their freedom of speech and the press by using images of baseball players within its app and its advertising. Moreover, nearly a year after Mike Hermalyn<\/strong> abruptly left his post at DraftKings to go run the VIP program at Fanatics, the<\/strong> two parties have settled<\/a> the matter in court.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Flutter Entertainment\u2019s<\/strong> end-of-year trading has been offset by a period of \u201cvery unfavourable US sports results\u201d, prompting management to revise<\/a> its guidance for group and FanDuel segments. While Macau<\/strong> reported<\/a> a total casino GGR of \u20ac27.45 billion for 2024, reflecting a 23.9% rise compared to 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Grupo CIRSA<\/strong> has received<\/a> regulatory approval to acquire a majority stake in CasinoPortugal<\/strong>, expanding the online portfolio of the Blackstone<\/strong>-owned Spanish gambling group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
