He will remain with the company in an advisory role for a period of time, while Andersson will officially begin his duties as CFO on February 18.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201dI want to thank Jacob for his work and contribution to the development of Evolution into the group we are today,\u201d stated <strong>Martin Carlesund,<\/strong> CEO of Evolution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cHe has been an integral part of our management team and played a key role in our expansion and mission to improve the company each day. We wish him all the best in the future.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Andersson previously held the position of CFO at the real estate investment company <strong>Sl\u00e4tt\u00f6<\/strong>, research technology provider <strong>Cint<\/strong>, and the investment company <strong>Kinnevik<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Carlesund noted:&nbsp; \u201cAt the same time, I am very much looking forward to working with Joakim. He has a strong background as an accomplished CFO and will strengthen our team and help the company take the next steps in its development.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Commenting on his new role, Andersson said on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/feed\/update\/urn:li:activity:7282469371111759872\/\">LinkedIn<\/a>: \u201cI\u2019m excited to share that, as of 18 February, I am beginning a new chapter in my career as the Chief Financial Officer at Evolution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m looking forward to collaborating with the talented team at Evolution to further strengthen the company\u2019s financial position and continue delivering value to its stakeholders.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The change in CFO comes as Evolution Malta Limited is undergoing a review by the <strong>UK Gambling Commission (UKGC)<\/strong> regarding its operating license in the UK market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The review was initiated under Section 116 of the Gambling Act 2005 after the UKGC discovered that Evolution games were \u201cbeing accessible from the UK through operators not holding a Commission license\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Possible outcomes of the review include no action being taken, conditions being imposed on the license, financial sanctions, suspension, or revocation of Evolution\u2019s operating license.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Evolution has stated that it is actively cooperating with the UKGC to resolve this matter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Don\u2019t forget to subscribe to our <a href=\"https:\/\/t.me\/sbceurasia\">Telegram channel!<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Evolution has announced a change in its Chief Financial Officer position: Jacob Kaplan is stepping down, and his role will be taken over by Joakim Andersson.
