Evoplay<\/strong>, the award-winning game development studio, has announced<\/a> its most successful year to date, following a period of significant growth, innovation, and international market expansion. While the UK\u2019s Financial Reporting Council (FRC)<\/strong> has issued a press notice informing of an investigation<\/a> into KMPG over its auditing of Entain<\/strong> accounts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

China<\/strong> has announced<\/a> its intention to enhance cooperation with ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) <\/strong>countries in combating online gambling and telecommunications fraud. While Philippine gaming regulator (PAGCOR)<\/strong> has further reduced<\/a> the fee rates charged by all electronic gaming (E-Games) operators to 30% from 35% and to 25% for local companies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The UK Gambling Commission (UKGC)<\/strong> CEO Andrew Rhodes<\/strong> has said <\/a>the regulator will step up scrutiny of suppliers linked to unregulated operators this year. While the Dutch gambling regulator Kansspelautoriteit (KSA)<\/strong> has announced the results<\/a> of its innovative approach towards mapping problem gambling indicators. The Selective Consumption Tax (ISC)<\/strong> on online gaming and sports betting in Peru<\/strong> will be<\/a> 0.3% until July of this year. While Brazil\u2019s National Institute of Social Security (INSS) <\/strong>is reportedly looking at how to ban<\/a> social benefits as payments for sports betting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A class action lawsuit has been filed<\/a> against sportsbook Sportsbet<\/strong> in Australia, alleging that the company engaged in illegal live betting that cost punters millions of dollars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Star Entertainment Group<\/strong> has reiterated<\/a> that there is significant uncertainty surrounding its ability to continue as a going concern, with the company saying its options for raising much-needed liquidity are \u201climited\u201d. While the timeline for the possible privatisation of Holland Casino<\/strong> and Nederlandse Loterij<\/strong> will be delivered<\/a> this summer. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

OlyBet<\/strong> has signed<\/a> a sponsorship deal with Paris Basketball<\/strong>, establishing itself as the team\u2019s main partner. As part of the deal, OlyBet branding will be featured on the club\u2019s jerseys in the Euroleague. While Betsson Group<\/strong> has renewed<\/a> its sponsorship with Argentinian football club, Boca Juniors<\/strong>, until the 2028 season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Clubs in the Jupiler Pro League \u2013 Belgium\u2019s<\/strong> top football division \u2013 have found<\/a> ways around a new law that restricts betting companies becoming primary sponsors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The developer of the popular video game Genshin Impact<\/strong> could face a fine<\/a> of up to $20 million in the United States for using loot boxes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
