Cbet’<\/strong>s parent company has been dissolved after French football club PSG<\/strong> won a court case in Curacao<\/strong> to declare its former sponsor bankrupt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A court of first instance in Curacao declared Cbet’s holding company, AK Global NV<\/strong>, bankrupt on January 23, ruling that it had failed to meet its obligations to the French club.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

PSG signed a one-season regional sponsorship deal in Latin America with Cbet in December 2022<\/strong>, and filed for bankruptcy in Curacao in November 2024<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The judgement said: \u201cFrom the facts stated in the application and from the hearing in chambers, it has been shown in summary that the defendant has left several debts unpaid and of facts and circumstances that demonstrate that the defendant is in a state of having ceased to pay.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Curacao\u2019s bankruptcy law allows companies to be declared bankrupt if the court finds that they have failed to meet their obligations, which may not be due to their actual financial resources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is noted that PSG representatives had previously approached Cbet at their stand at a Brazilian trade show, seeking the owner of the company in connection with unpaid invoices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Despite the court\u2019s order, no lawyer appeared on behalf of AK Global NV.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The commercial register of the Curacao Chamber of Commerce and Industry shows that AK Global NV\u2019s registration was terminated on the day of the ruling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cbet\u2019s website now lists its holding company as AK Global Ltd, a Belize-based company with registration number 000034783.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, the brand states on its website that it now operates under a gambling license issued by the government of the autonomous island of Anjouan, Union of Comoros.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the Anjouan government website, cbet.gg operates under the company name Bermuda Triangle Ltd<\/strong>, which is inconsistent with what is stated on its website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Note that the story with Cbet is almost exactly the same as that of crypto casino BC.Game<\/strong>. It was also declared bankrupt<\/a> by the Curacao court in 2024, as a result of which the company lost its gambling license, and was also a sponsor of a football club, but from England – Leicester City<\/strong>. Last year, BC.Game announced in a statement that it now also operates under an Anjouan license.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
