{"id":8364,"date":"2025-02-06T08:39:43","date_gmt":"2025-02-06T08:39:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sbceurasia.com\/en\/?p=8364"},"modified":"2025-02-06T08:39:48","modified_gmt":"2025-02-06T08:39:48","slug":"predna-hora-become-a-new-official-support-service-for-players-in-slovakia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sbceurasia.com\/en\/2025\/02\/06\/predna-hora-become-a-new-official-support-service-for-players-in-slovakia\/","title":{"rendered":"Predn\u00e1 Hora Become a New Official Support Service for Players in Slovakia"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>From this month going forward, <strong>Slovakia\u2019s<\/strong> national gambling helpline will be managed by the <strong>Predn\u00e1 Hora<\/strong> specialist treatment centre.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The center \u2013 a former Bulgarian royalty residence nestled in the Slovakian mountains \u2013 has been operating as a hospital for addiction and compulsive gambling patients since 1995.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Its activity includes international collaboration, including participation in joint research initiatives with universities and hospitals from Poland, Sweden, and the Czech Republic.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Vladim\u00edr Stanislav<\/strong>, Director of the Predn\u00e1 Hora center, said: \u201cOur system works with a comprehensive treatment program, with the community and, above all, with enthusiastic and committed staff, who believe that our clients are high-quality and valuable individuals who are able and willing to change their lives.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Predn\u00e1 Hora will operate the new helpline seven days a week from a free telephone number open between 9am-1am, with the option to connect to an answering machine outside of working hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Support will be available not only to direct victims of problem gambling, but also to others who might be affected from someone\u2019s compulsive behaviour, such as family members or friends.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Specialist staff will be able to advise on existing intervention strategies. The centre also includes facilities that can offer prevention, diagnosis and treatment services around problem gambling.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Martin Boho\u0161<\/strong>, Director General of Slovakia\u2019s <strong>Gambling Regulatory Authority<\/strong>, commented: \u201cThe fact that the operation of the helpline will be provided to the Specialised Psychiatric Treatment Institute, Predn\u00e1 Hora, represents a significant step forward in providing professional advice and professional care in the field of assistance to problem gamblers and their family members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cEvery big step begins with a decision.
