{"id":8758,"date":"2025-03-12T09:45:33","date_gmt":"2025-03-12T09:45:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sbceurasia.com\/en\/?p=8758"},"modified":"2025-03-12T09:45:38","modified_gmt":"2025-03-12T09:45:38","slug":"betclic-e379m-net-profit-for-banijay-group","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sbceurasia.com\/en\/2025\/03\/12\/betclic-e379m-net-profit-for-banijay-group\/","title":{"rendered":"\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200bBetclic: \u20ac379m Net Profit for Banijay Group"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Banijay Group<\/strong> has highlighted the results of its <strong>Betting &amp; Gaming division<\/strong>, led by <strong>Betclic<\/strong>, which \u201cexceeded all expectations with an exceptional performance\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>Amsterdam EuroNext<\/strong>-listed firm, which is Europe\u2019s largest media, entertainment and production conglomerate, has published its annual results for 2024, recording an 11% increase in corporate revenues to <strong>\u20ac4.8 billion <\/strong>(FY2023: \u20ac4.3 billion).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Banijay stresses that the FY2024 results demonstrate the company\u2019s diversification beyond its core media production division.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Concluding its second full year as a company listed on the Amsterdam EuroNext exchange, Banijay highlighted its transformed commercial profile from 2021, shaped by significant growth in revenue generated from online gaming and live events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A breakdown of revenues for the 2024 financial year shows that Banijay Gaming accounts for <strong>\u20ac1.45 billio<\/strong>n (28%) of corporate revenue, while the group\u2019s<strong> Live Experience division<\/strong> generates <strong>\u20ac865 million<\/strong> (18%). The company\u2019s core division,<strong> Media Production &amp; Distribution<\/strong>, contributed the remaining <strong>\u20ac2.59 billion<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the year, Betclic surpassed the \u20ac1 billion mark in betting revenue, generating <strong>\u20ac1.14 billion<\/strong> in bets (FY23: \u20ac766 million).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Online casino revenues for the 2024 financial year were \u20ac213 million as Betclic expanded its European gaming portfolio (excluding France) with new live dealer and slots titles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Fran\u00e7ois Riahi,<\/strong> CEO of Banijay Group, stated:\u201cBetclic delivered another outstanding year of growth, with revenue surging +45% YoY and a 37% increase in Unique Active Players.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cDespite upcoming regulatory challenges in France, Betclic remains well-positioned for continued double-digit growth in 2025, thanks to its strong market presence, innovative technology, and expanding player base.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In Q4, Banijay recorded \u201caccelerated growth for Betclic,\u201d as online gaming revenues increased by 50% to \u20ac415 million (Q4 2023: \u20ac278 million).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Peak revenues were also reflected in a 34% increase in active online gaming customers, with Betclic achieving its highest quarterly sports betting revenue of <strong>\u20ac330 million (+58%)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The key drivers of sports betting growth were the launch of the updated Betclic app in the second half of the year, featuring a new interface and improved gaming capabilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the end of the year, Betclic launched a new proprietary online poker platform for the French audience, featuring gamification and a new loyalty system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Banijay recorded adjusted EBITDA for the 2024 financial year at <strong>\u20ac379 million<\/strong>, up 50% on the 2023 result (\u20ac277 million), contributing 42% of the group\u2019s total EBITDA of<strong> \u20ac900 million<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2025, Banijay will continue to monitor market conditions to facilitate Betclic\u2019s further expansion.
