STS Group<\/strong> has appointed Ivan Goji\u0107<\/strong> as Chief Sportsbook Officer, aiming to enhance its position as Poland\u2019s<\/strong> largest betting firm and to support expansion into further Central and Eastern European (CEE)<\/strong> markets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Goji\u0107 assumed the role on 1 April and will also serve in the dual capacity of VP of Sportsbook for the Entain CEE<\/strong> vehicle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Media sources were informed that Goji\u0107 will primarily focus on the management and strategic direction of STS Group\u2019s sportsbook operations in its home market of Poland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Headquartered in Katowice, STS Group employs over 1,500 people and operates more than 400 retail betting shops across Poland, maintaining a market share of over 51%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An expert in all areas of sportsbook management, Goji\u0107 joins STS from Superbet Group<\/strong> – STS\u2019s main CEE competitor – where he previously served as Head of Product Development and Risk Management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

STS CEO Radim Haluza<\/strong> welcomed the appointment, stating: \u201cWe warmly welcome Ivan to our team. He is an outstanding expert in trading, risk management, and broadly defined product development in the iGaming sector. I am confident that his experience and past achievements will help both STS and the entire Entain CEE Group stand out even more in their respective markets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our goal is to continuously improve our product and offering to strengthen the position of our companies in Poland and Croatia. Ivan\u2019s support will certainly help us implement the #united strategy more effectively.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2024, STS was acquired by Entain Plc in a deal valued at \u00a3750m (cash and shares). The acquisition was co-funded by Czech private equity group EMMA Capital, leading to the formation of the Entain CEE joint venture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Currently, Entain CEE consists of two brands – STS Group (Poland) and SuperSport<\/strong> (Croatia)  – which are positioned as \u2018localised assets\u2019 intended to drive Entain\u2019s expansion across the CEE region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2024, Entain CEE generated Net Gaming Revenue (NGR) of \u00a3488m, with an EBITDA contribution of \u00a3171m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reflecting on his journey, Ivan Goji\u0107 said: \u201cIt\u2019s hard to call it work when you\u2019re doing something you love.
