Sportradar and Tennis Data Innovations (TDI) have entered into a strategic partnership to expand the provision of ATP tennis data to authorized betting partners.
As part of the partnership, a new secondary channel will be launched, offering betting services based on official ATP Tour and ATP Challenger Tour results to a number of bookmakers around the world.
ATP has changed its data structure so that bookmakers can continue to access official data. Previously, the results were received directly from the judge’s chair.
Bookmakers will be provided with full coverage of ATP Tour and Challenger Tour event data, including qualifiers and doubles, which is guaranteed to be «the most stable and reliable source of tennis data for gaming markets».
Bookmakers are guaranteed full coverage of ATP Tour and Challenger Tour events, including qualifiers and doubles, making them the most stable and trusted source of tennis data in the gaming market.
The new channel will be offered alongside the existing official high speed data channel and is being implemented through a sub-licensing agreement with Sportradar, TDI and IMG Arena.
David Lampitt, CEO of TDI, said: «We’re delighted to welcome Sportradar, a leader and innovator in the sports data industry, as a supply partner to TDI.
Together with our existing family of world-class partners, they are helping us expand the distribution of the best tennis data feeds to customers all around the world and generate new revenue streams to invest back into the sport.»
Lampitt supports the approach of providing bookmakers with an alternative channel to increase access to tennis betting based on official ATP results and expand the scope of official tennis data.
With this agreement, Sportradar also joins the list of licensed providers offering official odds and fast shipping trading services.
Moritz Gloeckler, Sportradar MD Partner and Content Management commented: «By taking a constructive and innovative commercial approach, TDI have found a way to serve another part of the market with official ATP data. This sub-licence agreement enables Sportradar to improve the depth and availability of trusted products to sportsbooks who were previously unable to access official data, broadening the appeal of ATP events to fans and bettors.»
Sportradar and TDI will form a data partnership to create new opportunities for tennis fans and protect the integrity of ATP tennis events by establishing contractual relationships and transparency requirements with a wider group of bookmakers.
