Flutter Entertainment’s Board of Directors has told investors that Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Jonathan Hill will move to the position of Chief Operating Officer (COO) next year.
Hill, who has served as Group Chief Financial Officer since 2018, will oversee maximizing the global scale, synergy and strategic direction of Flutter for the benefit of the FTSE100 companies.
Flutter also confirmed that Paul Edgecliffe-Johnson, currently InterContinental Hotels Group‘s (IHG) chief financial officer and head of group strategy, will join the company as group chief financial officer and chief executive officer in early 2023.
Edgecliffe-Johnson, an expert in global corporate financial management/planning, has been Chief Financial Officer and Chief Strategy Officer of IHG since 2014 and was previously Associate Director of Corporate Finance at HSBC.
CEO Peter Jackson stated: «I am delighted that Paul will join us next year as Group CFO. I am confident that his highly relevant skills and experience will help us to take advantage of the significant opportunities before us and will be invaluable as we continue to execute our strategy.

Hill will remain in the position until 2023 and will work with Edgecliffe-Johnson to ensure a smooth transition.
