Aston Villa has established a long-term partnership with BK8, which will become the club’s main partner in the Premier League, bringing together the online casino and sports betting brand.
As part of a three-year deal, the BK8 branding will appear on the front of the club’s three official shirts until the end of the 2025/26 season. In addition, BK8 will receive a number of promotional opportunities at Villa Park facilities. However, these features will be donated to a charity to display promotional messages throughout the upcoming season. BK8 is also planning various events to activate its brand, with the hope of supporting several local philanthropic initiatives in and around the Birmingham area.
In addition to that, Aston Villa, having teamed up with crypto casino and bookmaker Duelbits last year, plans to release its third set of t-shirts later this summer. As part of this package, BK8 will also contribute by donating a certain amount to a local charity for each adult T-shirt sold.
BK8 already has experience in sports sponsorship, with previous partnerships including La Liga, Huddersfield Town and John Terry. However, in June 2021, the main partnership with Norwich City ended just three days after the official announcement. This came after the Canary Islands received negative feedback from supporters and partners due to the gambling company’s sexualized marketing.
Support for the deal with BK8 sparked outrage on social media as Aston Villa fans had previously urged the club to drop the sponsorship deal during this year’s discussion.
