On July 3, a memorandum of cooperation was signed in Tbilisi between the Georgian Gambling Association (GGA) and the Self-Regulatory Organization of the Betting and Lottery Business of Kazakhstan (SRO). The leaders of both organizations, Giorgi Mamulaishvili and Galymzhan Duambekov, officially signed a bilateral memorandum. The signing ceremony was attended by representatives of the gambling regulators of Georgia and Kazakhstan.
To strengthen cooperation and improve mutual relations, representatives of the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Agency for Financial Monitoring of the Republic of Kazakhstan made a working trip to Georgia. The Kazakh delegation spent a two-day stay, during which meetings were held with member companies of the Georgian association.
In addition, the Georgian Gaming Association and the Kazakh delegation organized working meetings with representatives of the Georgian government, including high-ranking officials from the Ministry of Finance and the Revenue Service.
The main goal of the signed memorandum of cooperation is to implement mutually beneficial projects, promote the principles of responsible gaming and develop various mechanisms. The parties that signed the document expressed their readiness for cooperation and joint work on projects related to the gaming industry, with an emphasis on improving the business environment both in Kazakhstan, Georgia, and in the region as a whole. The memorandum also provides for the organization of joint conferences, lectures and educational events.
The memorandum arose as a result of mutual cooperation efforts stemming from a conference in Kazakhstan where the head of the Georgian Association,Giorgi Mamulaishvili had a speech.
The memorandum is aimed at developing cooperation and partnership between the associations of Kazakhstan and Georgia in order to strengthen bilateral cooperation and achieve common interests and goals. The memorandum provides for active interaction and cooperation with gambling operators, promotion of general principles and missions, cooperation with law enforcement agencies, support for the organization of educational events on responsible gaming, exchange of recommendations for gambling market operators, creation of favorable conditions for the development of the international gambling market and exchange experience between the parties.
On behalf of Giorgi Mamulaishvili, head of administration of the Georgian Gambling Association, the memorandum will respond to gas emissions between Kazakhstan and Georgia. As part of the memorandum, regular exchange of visits between plants will be actively encouraged, which will manifest itself in a healthier business environment and commitment to responsible gambling practices.
