Zinchenko’s team and Shevchenko’s team pulled off an exciting 2-2 draw at the historic Stamford Bridge.
UNITED24 organized an exciting match between the teams of Zinchenko and Shevchenko as part of the charity initiative of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky. The Game4Ukraine was organized to collect donations to help rebuild a school in the north of Ukraine.
In the first half, Zinchenko’s team led by Arsene Wenger managed to take the lead and scored a goal in the 38th minute of the match. Robert Pires made a perfect pass to his former Arsenal teammate Gilberto Silva who made an accurate low cross into the box where Mark Noble successfully finished the combination, opening the score in the game.
Although Zinchenko’s team took the lead, their lead was short-lived. The former AC Milan midfielder Clarence Seedorf delivered an unstoppable shot four minutes before half-time, restoring the balance in the match.
Zinchenko’s team regained the lead in the 54th minute thanks to Jack Wilshere, who made an accurate low pass into the penalty area, and former FC Shakhtar defender Darijo Srna successfully finished with a shot into the bottom corner of the goal.
In the 77th minute, Shevchenko’s team equalized again. Jermain Defoe made an accurate low pass from a tight corner from the left, passing several players, and then William Gallas hit the ball from close range.
In the end, the two sides shared the trophy. This match became an amazing football spectacle and brought a lot of joy to the fans of both teams.
