From October 2, 2023, stricter advertising rules will come into force in Ukraine, including a ban on gambling-related advertising.
This information was provided by the Ukrainian Commission for Regulation of Gambling and Lotteries (KRAIL), which detailed what elements are prohibited in gambling advertising under the new rules.
This applies to all forms of advertising, including press, outdoor advertising, banners, videos and others. Any type of advertising will be prohibited if it meets at least one of the following criteria:

- advertising of gambling creates the opinion that it is supposedly easy to win at a game of chance, and also that participation in gambling can be a source of income or an alternative to work;
- a depiction of a gambling product (product placement);
- organizers of gambling, trademarks and other objects of intellectual property rights are advertised without a license to carry out the relevant type of activity in the field of organizing and conducting gambling.
