Curacao Regulator Launches New Licensing Portal

On November 1, the Curacao Gaming Control Board (GCB) launched a registration process for legal entities on its new online licensing portal. This step is part of the modernization of the national gambling system and is aimed at stricter and more transparent control over the activities of gambling operators.

Indeed, gambling operators previously registered in Curacao were often accused of insufficient protection of customer rights, participation in illegal businesses in many countries around the world, and financial violations.

The portal will begin accepting applications for gambling licenses on November 15.

To obtain a license, in addition to registration on the portal, there are a number of other mandatory conditions, including having an office in Curacao. The annual license cost is around 50,000 euros.
