Consulting firm Moelis is helping British gaming giant Entain explore options for selling its overseas brands, according to a report in the Financial Times.
These brands include Dutch betting company Betcity, which Entain acquired last year for around £400 million ($510 million). The possibility of selling Australian bookmakers Ladbrokes and CrystalBet with headquarters in Georgia is also being considered.
The sale of foreign brands will allow Entain management to focus on reviving its business in its core markets.
Entain also intends to increase investment in its US division, betting company BetMGM. This will require funds received from the sale of a number of foreign brands.
